Recommended plugins for WooCommerce

WooCommerce is the leading E-Commerce option for WordPress and comes with some great features out of the box. It is possible to extend WooCommerce even further with some great plugins. We’ve put together a list of our favourites below.

Table Rate Shipping

Table rate shipping extends the standard shipping options allowing you to customise the settings. You can define multiple shipping rates based on weight, price, item count or location.

For example you may want to set different price brackets for different weight ranges. These can be set in multiple zones allowing you to have a different set of prices for UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

WooCommerce Brands

Create brands for your shop to allow for extended filtering and navigation for your products. The plugin allows you to do A – Z listings, thumbnail grids and to sidebar widgets.

WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips

This plugin adds functionality to create a PDF customer invoice which can be attached to the order confirmation email. In addition, you can also create printable packing slips to send out with the order. All templates are fully customisable so you can tailor the look and feel to suit your requirements. A premium option is available which allows the creation of credit notes.

WooCommerce Product Filter

WooCommerce default filtering options are quite limited so it’s worth taking a look at some third party options. WooCommerce Product Filters by XforWooCommerce is plugin we use on a number of our websites.

It allows you to filter by category, tag, price, attributes and numerical ranges. You can also apply adoptive filtering and customise the layout of the filter display.

YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing Premium

Whilst bulk product editing is possible via the main product edit screen it is quite limited. This plugin allows you to easily bulk edit products and their associated variations. It’s ideal for doing a bulk price update if you are running a sale or if you need to do a blanket price reduction across the website.

The plugin comes with in depth filters so you can select specific product groups saving you time.

Additional Variation Images Gallery for WooCommerce

This plugin allows you to insert multiple images for per variation so your customer can different images when WooCommerce product variations are changed. The free version allows up to 2 extra images per variation.

Smart Coupons

This plugin allows you to extend the WooCommerce coupon functionality to offer far much more to your customers and increase sales. The plugin allows selling store credits and gift cards, advanced coupon restrictions, issuing automatic coupon, free gift coupons, generating coupons in bulk, nice designs, quick management and a lot more.

Woo Discount Rules Pro

Create dynamic pricing and discounts easily in your WooCommerce online shop. You can offer cart discounts, bulk discounts, special offers, user role based discounts and more.

Discounts can be set globally, to be product specific, category specific percentage based, price based, via bulk purchase and based on user role. In addition, you can set up buy one get one free deals as well as next order and first order discounts.
